Dear reader,
Elon Musk is worth more than anyone in human history.
Yet he lives in a 400-square-foot prefab box in Boca Chica, Texas.
Why?
Because Elon doesn’t spend money on himself.
He spends it taking over industries.
Every payday he’s ever had… $22 million from Zip2, $175 million from PayPal… went straight into his next conquest.
Now the SpaceX IPO just handed him $2.1 trillion.
Former CIA analyst Dr. Mark Skousen has identified the three companies he’s coming for next… and says early investors could see 100% overnight when he strikes.
See the details of Elon’s “Hit List” before he starts spending.
Good investing,

WSM Reports Wednesday
Hey there, bargain hunter. Williams-Sonoma (NYSE: WSM) drops Q2 2026 numbers before the open this Wednesday, August 26. The Street wants adjusted EPS of $2.03, up 1.5% from a year ago. WSM has beaten consensus in each of the last four quarters. The question is whether that streak survives the ugliest housing data in years.
The Backdrop
July housing starts fell 12.4% month over month to a seasonally adjusted 1.239 million units, 13.5% below July 2025, per the Census Bureau. Single-family starts dropped 9.9%. Existing home sales slid 1.7% to 4.06 million units. Mortgage rates averaged 6.67% as of August 13, per Freddie Mac. That is the environment WSM must grow through.
Why It Might Not Matter
Q1 delivered $1.81 billion in revenue, a 4.8% comp, and a 16.2% operating margin. About 66% of revenue runs through e-commerce, which keeps costs below store-heavy peers. Proprietary products cover nearly all sales, so the company does not need to discount to move inventory. Full-year guidance calls for 2.7% to 6.7% revenue growth and an operating margin of 17.5% to 18.1%. That is not a company that thinks it needs housing to recover.
The Risk
Tariffs already clipped gross margin 30 basis points last quarter. Starts running 13.5% below year-ago levels and pending contracts sitting 30% below 2019 levels, per NAR, describe a structurally constrained market. The stock trades above the average analyst target of $219.68, which limits upside if guidance disappoints.
Bottom Line
A clean beat plus raised full-year guidance makes WSM one of the more defensible names in consumer discretionary. A beat without guidance improvement leaves a stock above consensus target with little cushion. Watch the comp number and any update to the operating margin band. Those two lines will tell you everything Wednesday morning.
